A very exciting time at "dim sum"

Brandon calls to say his parents want to go out to dinner this weekend. I tell him we are available on Saturday. He calls back saying "my parents can't come on Saturday night, how about dim sum on Sunday". This works for us, so I tell him o.k. In the back on my mind is "Why the big rush? What is the urgency?" Always on my mind is "Maybe they are going to make an announcement" ... but I push it far back in my mind because I don't want to get my hopes up too high.
Anyways ... we have a nice time at dim sum. Michelle gives both Laura & I a little brag book filled with pictures of their vacation in Oregon. Being me, I try to scan the pictures quickly to get to the end as I suspect there is something special at the end ... Brandon is showing us all the pictures and giving us info on each page ... "and this is where we saw the elk" ( he is trying to stall us so we can reach the last page at the same time his mom gets there). Do I care about elk???? No ... let me get to the back page. I try to get to the back as soon as I can and there it is ... the "we're pregnant" page ... complete with the baby's first ultrasound. OMG, OMG, OMG. I am almost screaming and jumping up and down. Laura is so distracted by me screaming and jumping around that she shuts her book without looking at the back page ... Michelle has to actually open the book up again and turn it to the back page for her. By now Laura has joined me in running around the table and hugging everybody. Can you imagine what the people in the restaurant thought about our table?????

We are sworn to secrecy as Michelle & Brandon don't want to tell anyone just yet (OMG .. this is going to be hard ... I'm bursting at the seams with excitement). On the way home I get a phone call from Dennis (who I shared my "suspicions" with earlier). He asks if there are any announcements. I tell him "no, no announcements" and then hang up and add "no announcements for you". Edwin & I just laugh in the car hysterically.
